The Applications: Editor and Student

The Mind Matrix Java application supports two runtime modes, the Mind Matrix Student mode and the Mind Matrix Editor mode. Knowledge maps are created with the Mind Matrix Editor, and the mapping task is performed with the Mind Matrix Student application. The Mind Matrix Editor makes use of vector graphics editing tools that allow you to customise your maps to fit the needs of the mapping assignment.

Installers for both Mac OS and Windows operating systems of the Mind Matrix Student and Editor software are available within the Mind Matrix community website. Log into the website and join the community! The Mind Matrix Java applications are authored by Dr. Val Stamboltsian.

Macintosh System Requirements

A PowerPC using Mac OS 8.1 or later and MRJ version 2.2.2 or higher.
(If you do not have MRJ installed or are not sure if you do, be sure to download the package which includes one.)

The installer is MacBinary encoded and should be automatically decoded after downloading. If it does not decode, you can decode it using StuffIt Expander 4.5 or later.

PC System Requirements

Requires a 120 Mhz CPU or faster and Windows 95 or later Sun Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.1 or later.
